Here’s a sneak peak:
1️⃣ Use picture specific hashtags
You have to be very methodical with the hashtags you add to your posts, but sometimes the simplest of things can get you the increase in followers that you want. Apart from using brand-specific and customer-oriented hashtags, you should be throwing in a few descriptive hashtags that describe what people see in your photo or video.
2️⃣ Use networking hashtags
Network hashtags are hashtags that are specific to certain conventions or trade shows. These hashtags will target only those people that are attending these trade shows or summits, but it will lead to a higher quality follower coming to your page. Using these hashtags will also allow you to connect with people that you could work with in the future within the industry that you operate in or in other complementary industries.
3️⃣ Use a tier system of hashtags
A hashtag tier system is grouping the hashtags you use under your posts into thirds. Use 10 hashtags under your posts that have less than 100,000 posts, use 10 that have about 100,000 to 250,000 posts, and finally use 10 hashtags that have over 250,000 but less than a million posts. By using this tier system you are ensuring that your posts will have sustained exposure and long reach under the “Recent” hashtag hyperlink.

For me, it’s business growth. Hands down, no questions about it. It’s my favorite topic.
I could literally talk about how to grow a business all day long and be fascinated by the conversation the entire time.
Like you’d probably tell me you have to go home and watch paint dry just to get away from me. 🤣
I’d literally talk that long - haha.
The business of business has just always fascinated me…
Maybe it’s because I’m the daughter of two entrepreneur doctors turned retired farmers? 👩⚕️👨⚕️➡️👩🌾🧑🌾
Or maybe it’s because I was a Business Economics Major? 👩🎓
Or maybe it’s because over 14 years ago I built my first eCom biz and learned the power of making money while I slept? 💸😴
Or maybe it’s because I’ve seen the simplest of suggestions bring in millions in extra revenue for our students and clients. Just because we had a casual conversation about how they can grow their business. 🤷🏻♀️
I promise - I can find a way to make any business more money. Guaranteed.

I guess the joke’s on me?! 🤷🏻♀️ So here’s the thing…Anyone who knows me knows I have a STRONG aversion to Reels.
I know, the irony isn’t lost on me…🤣
I mean I love Reels for YOU, I just don’t love Reels for ME.
Reels is an awesome growth tool for so many brands and, on a personal level I really enjoy watching them; but when it comes to my own brand and the ideas I want to teach and the image I want to portray, they just aren’t my jam.
My fear is if I jump on the Reels bandwagon, somehow my 17 years of knowledge, education, and experience will be devalued and diluted. I know, it’s probably silly, but it’s a legit concern I have which is why I’ve held back.
But my team keeps nudging me to do them. They even sent me “Classy” Reel examples - haha 😂 - hoping they’ll inspire me to test Reels in a way that feels authentic & on brand for me.
I decided I don’t have to do what everyone else is doing. I just need to do my own thing in my own unique way.
If you know me, you know I’m not one to shy away from a challenge that makes me uncomfortable.
So…Deep diving into Reels is my next “30 for 30 Challenge.” 💪
“30 for 30” is a solo challenge I started a decade ago where I push myself to do something I’m uncomfortable with for 30 days straight. My first challenge over a decade ago was to run for 30 minutes for 30 days straight, hence the name.
And guess what? It was transformative. To this day, I still run several times a week. The newly created habit stuck…
So I’m committing to 30 days of Reels for a few reasons:
1) The commitment alone makes me highly uncomfortable, but nothing ventured, nothing gained. 🤷🏻♀️ It’s okay to be uncomfortable if what’s causing discomfort is stopping us from growth.
2) It will force me to gain a deeper hands-on knowledge about a tool all my clients are using.
3) I’m curious how Reels will impact my Instagram account, so I’ll be tracking & sharing all the analytics with all of you over the next month.

This is the daily battle for most business owners.
Working 12 hour days, carrying the weight of countless responsibilities on their shoulders, sleepless nights, deadlines, bills…
Buuuuuut….to be fair, it’s up to us to live life by design.
So what does that mean?
It means we CAN create a business that works around our schedule, health, and happiness, and not a business that steals it from us.
Despite what our parents may have told us, there is a better way friends…
Whenever I’m overwhelmed in my business, I know I’m running my ship wrong.
Because I haven’t put my needs first and carved out time for my self-care. For me, that’s running, working out, traveling, and making time for my family.
I know, as the owner of my business, I can create a career I LOVE, on my terms, putting MY needs first.
So whenever that overwhelm comes, I need to take radical ownership of it because I have no one else to blame but myself.
Hear me out…
It’s natural for us to blame others or our business for not having time to workout, be with family, travel, and more.
In fact, we may even be resentful.
But the reality is we CHOSE to allow our business to take over our lives, and that’s on us.
It’s not fair to blame someone else for our inability to say no, hire more help, charge higher prices, or have boundaries with clients.
Yes, building a thriving business from the ground up is HARD work. There will be long days, sacrifices, road blocks, and more.
But, we should always have the end goal in mind, and design our business as we go, to have harmony and balance in our lives alongside running our business so that it doesn’t run us.

It’s actually from a mid-day beach run I took a couple weeks ago when I was in head-high overwhelm. I had had ENOUGH and finally set the boundary of my working hours so that I could protect my mental health and self-care.
And guess what? Even with me working less, my business is thriving.
So I know it can be done.
